A child struck by a car in Connecticut escaped without injury.

The incident occurred in New Haven County around 8:50 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, on Hall Avenue.

According to Sgt. Michale Boothroyd of the Meriden Police, an officer, responded to the area and found an 8-year-old child had been struck but was showing no apparent signs of injury but did complain of pain.

Boothroyd said the driver of the vehicle was also on the scene. The child was transported to an area hospital for observation.
